I really want to learn Flash to add animation to my website,?
I am trying to learn it on my own, as a hobby.
I looked at websites that have flash tutorials and I got the manual, but I get confused with all the information out there, and the add-on's that Macromedia recommends to purchase. Anyone has recommendations on where to start? My real intention is to add an animation to my website of a model walking on the runway.
By the way, I do scripting in Perl and tcsh so I am not unfamiliar with coding,

I want to be really good with in a year. I wanted to take weekend classes local but found nowhere offering it. I tried taking an online course but it is just a lot of reading. I need to learn either in a class or with some really good video tutorials.
